Kitty Kat Castle was born right at home, out of love, learning, and a brand-new couch. When my wife chose a beautiful new sectional and our son—freshly eight years old—asked for a kitten to learn responsibility, our family welcomed Rumi into our lives. He’s been an amazing caretaker, making sure she has vet visits, fresh water, healthy food, and endless love. Like all curious kittens, Rumi needed a place to climb, scratch, and practice her hunting skills—and we needed a way to protect our furniture while honoring who cats truly are. I grew up with a beloved cat, Kiki, who was declawed long ago, and knowing what I know now, I promised my family I would never do that again. Cats need their paws and claws—it’s part of their magic. So I set out to create a stylish, thoughtfully designed wall that gives cats a proper outlet for climbing and scratching while blending beautifully into our home. As a family that loves animals (including our gentle dog Zeus, who happily shares these perches), Kitty Kat Castle became our way of creating harmony—where cats can be cats, furniture stays safe, and everyone has a perfect place to belong. 🐾✨
